The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
is the lead organisation for CBT in the UK and Ireland.
A registered charity with many thousands of members, BABCP aims to
promote the practice, theory and development of CBT.
Membership is made up of a wide cross section of health professionals,
including nurses, trainees, occupational therapists, counsellors,
psychologists and psychiatrists, as well as CBT users and interested
members of the public.
BABCP accredits CBT therapists; has a network of branches and special
interest groups; publishes a magazine, e-journal and scientific journal
and hosts Annual and Spring conferences.
